This Month in Birding – March 2023
March 30, 2023
Spring is in the air in March, at least theoretically across much of the ABA Area. And the last Thursday of the month means This Month in Birding, our monthly panel discussion that covers all the important and not-so-important bits of birding news from the month that was. This month’s panel features Brodie Cass Talbott and Sarah Swanson from Portland Audubon and aeroecologist Mikko Jimenez talking Audubon’s name, Bell Bowl Prairie, and what to do about the famous Flaco the Eagle-Owl.

Love the podcast Nate, listen most weeks, but the discussion on the Audubon National decision was the same homogenous echo chamber of opinion that the bird naming convention chats have turned out to be. Best to get some diversity of views on the show on these topics. Even MSNBC has their token conservative and FoxNews its token liberal voice to get a little lively discussion going.
