Back to the quiz bird being in flight. Aren’t you glad last month’s wasn’t?!

There’s not much interesting showing this month. The quiz bird looks long- and narrow-winged, which, if accurate, certainly helps rule out some possibilities. Given the poor view of the head, we might be uncertain as to which order the bird belongs. The parts we can see best are the underside of the wings and the tail. Those underwings show as grayish with the remiges (secondaries and primaries) being blacker and with slight white tips to the secondaries. The tail looks all black. The belly and chest look the same darkish color. What little we can see of the head shows a dark bill on, perhaps, a pale loral area. And what about that little bit of paler color that might be a bit of leg? Hmm.
