DESCRIPTION:FAIRBANKS\, Alaska — The annual Tanana Valley Sandhill Crane Festival will return August 16–23\, 2026\, celebrating the spectacular fall migration of thousands of sandhill cranes and waterfowl at Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge. \nHosted by Friends of Creamer’s Field\, the weeklong festival offers a variety of free\, family-friendly events leading up to the main festival weekend on August 22–23. Visitors can enjoy guided nature walks\, bird and wildlife viewing\, photography opportunities\, educational workshops\, kid’s activities\, a silent auction\, food vendors\, and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter to win Alaska Airlines tickets. \nAll events are free and open to the public\, with most activities taking place at Creamer’s Field unless otherwise noted.
