Colorado Field Ornithologists and Western Field Ornithologists are hosting a joint convention in July 2023. Located in picturesque Summit County, you will explore the high country of Colorado on full or half-day field trips while seeking birds found in this region including Dusky Grouse, Pine Grosbeak, Brown-capped Rosy-Finch, American Three-toed Woodpecker, MacGillivray’s Warbler, and so many more. Workshops led by regional experts will help you improve your identification skills. You can catch up with or meet other birders and ornithologists at social events and learn about research and conservation efforts in Colorado and across the western US during the science sessions.
The location at Copper Mountain Resort in the midst of the Rocky Mountains offers many options for your non-birding family or friends to enjoy while you attend the convention. The convention is open to everyone, membership in CFO or WFO is not required.
