Texas Mid-Coast Birding Festival

The very first Texas Mid-Coast Birding Festival will be held May 1st – 4th in Port Lavaca, TX. The location will be the Bauer Convention Center, 2300 TX-35, Port Lavaca, TX 77979. This prime time festival will offer tours to a variety of habitats that have seldom been open to the public such as several private ranches and Green Lake, the 5,000 acre fresh water lake and many acres of shoreline on Hwy 35 that will soon be a County Park. Included in the tours are areas that had high bird counts in the Christmas Bird Count including the Guadalupe River Delta count that placed 3rd in the nation.
