Celebrating its 30th year in 2020 as Alaska’s oldest and original birding festival! The Copper River Delta Shorebird Festival is a celebration of migration in and around the fishing (and birding) town of Cordova, Alaska. Surrounded by the rugged Chugach Mountains, the extensive Chugach National Forest, and the rich mudflats and estuaries of the Copper River, Cordova is the perfect location to witness the spectacle of migration as millions of shorebirds land here to feed and rest before heading to their breeding grounds in Northern and Western Alaska. This intimate birding festival includes guided birding tours, classes and workshops, boat outings, art, speakers, and community events to celebrate spring migration in an unparalleled wilderness setting.
