We’re excited to introduce the Capital Bird Festival, a four-day celebration filled with special events, guided experiences, workshops, tours and other opportunities to discover the incredible birds of southern Vancouver Island. The new, concentrated festival format makes it easier for birders and visitors from Vancouver Island and beyond to plan a birding getaway in the Birding Capital of Canada.

And the birding doesn’t stop when the festival ends.

Following the four‑day celebration, RPBO will offer bird walks and other birding opportunities throughout the week, carrying forward the tradition previously known as Victoria Bird Week.

Whether you’re an experienced birder, discovering birds for the first time, or simply looking for a reason to get outside, there will be something for you.
