Florida in February??? That’s usually all it takes to get birders interested in coming to Florida. Let’s start with average temperatures of 74 degrees, now let’s add in Roseate Spoonbills, Pelicans, Painted Buntings, Florida Scrub-Jays, Red-cockaded Woodpeckers, Manatees, Alligators, and that’s just for starters! Choose from an amazing array of speakers, workshops, ID courses, keynote speakers from leaders in their fields, evening Sips N Bits, and one of the largest exhibit centers at any birding festival. Take an airboat ride, a pontoon boat trip, go kayaking, go offshore…The festival will be headquartered at the Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral. Along with the amount of exhibit center and meeting space they are able to offer us, we will be centered around numerous restaurants, attractions, and the location is less than an hour from Orlando Airport. Ease of access to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Cape Canaveral National Seashore, and Kennedy Space Center have made the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival the must go to festival for fabulous field trips and birds!
