ABA DONOR TRIP

NW Wisconsin Warblers Galore!

with Bettie Harriman and Tom Schultz
3-6 June 2004

Bird list

NWW Group at Pinehurst Inn

NWW Group at Madeline IslandWe trust you enjoyed the brief introduction to the Apostle Islands with the visit to Madeline Island and Big Bay State Park. To fully appreciate this group of islands would take many visits over different seasons of the year, but we hope this sample was appealing.

Nancy and Steve Sandstrom were terrific innkeepers and I'm quite sure they would love to see you again sometime. We hope that none of you will miss Nancy's food too much now that you are home. And I think we all agree she has great taste in restaurants also. Saturday night's dinner was the most fun at a restaurant meal that we have ever had! ABA is not to be held responsible if we all gained weight on this trip.

Common YellowthroatWe enclose a brief summary of the trip and a checklist of the birds seen (just in case you did not receive enough checklists). We wish the rain had not dampened the efforts on Saturday, but thank you for being a terrific sport about it and hope the wonderful birding on Sunday morning helped make up for the rainy hours.

Hope to see you again at one of the ABA conventions, conferences, or tours.

Good birding,

Bettie Harriman and Tom Schultz
